Improvements

  • New Relations between Assets: Resource Pools <-> Virtual Machine and Virtualization Hosts, Virtualization Host <-> Port Group. You can use the relations to eg. get tags from relationship in Tables.
  • Tracker Case insensitivity: Tracker computation “duplicate assets”, now includes an option for case sensitivity settings.
  • Improved update settings: Better control of your vScope Server Update settings under Settings > Miscellaneous > Software update settings.
  • Sorting in IT Services: You can now sort any column in the tables in IT Services.
  • Updated registry: vScope version is now also updated in registry for master and proxies.
  • Added text box: Replaced the simple text input with a text box for Table and Dashboard descriptions.
  • Updated Tracker Widgets: Widgets have been updated to reflect the overall changes in Tracker.
  • Distinguish Delete option: For improved UX, Delete option is now distinguished with different styling.
  • Improved Asset Discovery Customization: Veeam and WMI settings for asset discovery have been much(!) easier to understand.
  • Updated OID: Improved asset classification with more OIDs for Aruba Access Points.
  • Date Pickers for Manual Assets: Use date-pickers when adding manual assets in IT Services.

Bug Fixes

  • Azure 1970 bug: Dates from Azure returned a different format than expected, causing 2024-dates to be shown as 1970. Now fixed.
  • Wrong Last Activity: Users that had not logged into vScope, had “1970” as last activity on hover in Settings > User Management.
  • Fix for automatic removal of Tags from Discovery: Tags with out dated values were sometimes still shown.

Shortcut to Cases that you follow

We are improving the Home Screen to make it the go-to place for general insights about your IT. In this update, we’ve added shortcuts to cases you follow, making it easier to keep track of deviations.

Filter Tracker cases more easily

Filters in Tracker Overview have been updated, and the state is now saved between various views, improving the overall user experience. We will add this behavior across all Overviews in the upcoming updates.

More assets have been added to the inventory settings for PowerShell Discovery in vScope. This way you can select what you want to sync from the target machine.

Improvements

  • IIS, now in PowerShell: Use PowerShell to find IIS web servers on the target machine.
  • Edit Case Name and Severity: Name and Severity are now moved to the edit state of a case. You can also delete a case from this view, meaning that we’ve removed the Case settings view.
  • Highlighting notification settings in Tracker: You will now be informed if you have disabled tracker emails in your personal settings so you can be sure that you will be informed about the cases you follow.
  • Custom timeout for Desktop Central: You can now customize the default time-out setting for Desktop Central. Please get in touch with support@infrasightlabs.com to learn more.
  • Pagination in Tracker: Cases in Tracker Overview are now paginated for improved performance.
  • Toasts in Tracker: Added various feedback and confirmation toasts in Tracker.
  • Microsoft Graph API v6: FYI, vScope is now using the latest Microsoft Graph API, v6.

Bug Fixes

  • XLXS export Format: Fix for large dates in exported tables not being displayed when opening Microsoft Excel.
  • Group Price Item Filters: Fixed the issue of being unable to add filters to grouped price items. Keep in mind that these items also inherit filters from their associated price group.
  • Access Control in IT Services: Fixes for handling permission changes to users in IT Services.
  • Favorite content in Library: Fix for content not always showing after you’ve added it to favorite.
  • Performance & Data Quality: Various improvements for eg. syncing data from Azure.

Active Directory Subtree Management

Search Base DN in vScope

You can now manage specific subtrees within your Active Directory integration. This allows you to include or exclude specific branches, such as selecting only active user accounts or excluding certain subsidiaries for more refined data collection.

  • TPM (Trusted Platform Module) Tags: Added tags for TPM Manufacturer ID, TPM Vendor, TPM Physical Presence, and TPM Spec Version.
  • Windows License Tags: New tags for Windows OS Activation Status and License Status to help identify unlicensed machine

Tables

  • Windows 11 Clients: Display all devices running Windows 11 across your network.
  • Windows 11 Hardware Compatibility Report: Lists Windows clients and related hardware requirements.

Tracker

  • Duplicate Product Administration Groups in Adobe Admin Console: Lists duplicate groups with identical names in the Adobe Admin Console, helping prevent conflicts and errors caused by redundant group entries.

Improvements

  • UI Update for IT Service Overview (Card View): The card view has been updated to provide more useful insights. For instance, you will now be better informed when an IT service is no longer detected using CustomSQL. We will further improve this view in the future.
  • Enhanced Table Views: Tables in eg. Library, now display descriptions as subtitles under the name/identifier, rather than in separate columns, improving readability.
  • Action Standardization: Primary and secondary actions have been standardized across the UI. Less frequently used actions, such as “Delete,” are now grouped under an “Actions” dropdown for cleaner interfaces.
  • Jamf Pro Authentication Update: Updated the Jamf Pro authentication process for improved security and reliability.
  • Library Enhancements: You can now view collection assignments for Tables and Dashboards directly within the Library, making it easier to manage and track data.
  • Email Template Overhaul: All email templates have been redesigned to align with our updated design guidelines, offering a more consistent experience.
  • New Filters for IT Service Settings: Added filters for Sections and Fields within IT Service > Settings, enhancing customization and ease of use.

Bug Fixes

  • Azure Billing Manager Data Removal: Due Billing Manager API having data quality issues, we have removed Billing Manager data from the Azure integration.
  • User Accounts and Running Services Relationship: Fixed an issue where the relationship between user accounts and running services was not displayed correctly.
  • Height-issue for targets in Discovery Manager: Fixed a bug where targets were not fully visible for assignment to a credential.
  • Character Mismatch Fix: Resolved character mismatches when scanning systems encoded in UTF-8 and ISO-LATIN-1.
  • UI and Spelling Fixes: Various minor user interface adjustments and spelling corrections across the platform.

Inventory Settings in Discovery Manager

We’ve further enhanced vScope’s PowerShell integration with Windows operating systems. In addition to general information about the asset, eg. CPU, Name, Description etc.,  you can with the latest update inventory storage information from both servers and clients in your environment, such as disks, file systems, and file shares.

💡Important…
If you use Just Enough Administration to manage vScope’s read permissions, please ensure that your JEA profile is updated to match the inventory settings in vScope.

vScope now provides more relevant feedback based on your inventory settings, including requirements, warnings, and other important information. This enhancement makes it easier to manage vScope’s discovery of your IT environment.

Bugs & Improvements

  • Support for Exporting Single Price Lists: You can now export individual price lists directly from vScope.
  • Improved Data Quality for Inventory: Tag values that cannot be confirmed within five days are now considered outdated and will be removed from assets, ensuring more reliable data. Notice that we will roll out this improvement, meaning it will not be available to everyone imediatly.
  • Enhanced the handling of credentials when using a connectivity proxy.
  • Corrected an issue where manual tags containing true/false or numeric values could not be added correctly.
  • Resolved an issue that prevented opening tables containing manual assets from IT Services in Tables.
  • Enhanced options for managing inventory settings related to SCCM.
  • Emails have been updated to align with vScope’s overall design principles.
