vScope 3.31
3.31.5 – March 24
Guided onboarding missions
To make onboarding easier, we’ve added a new “Missions” section to the Home screen. This feature displays suggested actions tailored to the user’s permission level (Admin, Contributor, User, or Viewer), enabling your users to quickly familiarize themselves with vScope’s functionalities. The result is a smoother onboarding experience and a faster path to IT Visibility!
Optimized vScope administration
We’ve enhanced the home screen for administrators by showing errors that require actions. Instead of sifting through scattered notifications, admins now see only the most critical issues that require immediate attention. If there are no actionable errors, the section remains hidden.
Broader application inventory
vScope’s inventory capabilities for Windows applications have been expanded to include both Windows Store-installed applications and user-specific installations. This enhancement is supported both in WinRM and Windows environments, providing a comprehensive view of the software landscape.
Faster table creation
We’ve reworked the table creation process by adding a search option to the dropdown. This improvement complements the existing “Popular” section, enabling experienced users to quickly locate the asset type they need while also helping new users easily explore available options.
Extended Azure application visibility
vScope now supports both internal Enterprise Applications—registered as App Registrations within your Microsoft Entra ID—and external Enterprise Applications eg. invited from other environments. While both types function as service principals in Azure AD, external applications require additional integration and handling. This enhancement provides a unified, secure overview of all your organization’s cloud applications, ensuring consistent Visibility of your Azure environment.
